OHSxtraOccupationalHealth and Safety Extra (OHSxtra) is an NHS pilot service designed tohelp employees of NHS Lanarkshire and NHS Fife who are experiencingon-going health and welfare problems. The service provides the necessary support and treatment therefore helping the employee return to work or avoid sickness absence. OHSxtra provides NHS employees with rapid access to a range of additional services including:
Anassigned Case Manager will work with each person as they move throughthe treatment process and support them when they are ready to go backto work. OHSxtra aims to reduce long-term sickness absenceby improving the health, welfare and wellbeing of NHS staff. As aresult, this will also improve the quality and continuity of patientcare.
