Salus have been recognised by Nicola Sturgeon, Scottish Health Minister, for their innovative sickness absence service.  This service was introduced and fully implemented to the staff of NHS Lanarkshire in 2009.  Within one full year of implementation, the results have been fantastic with an overall reduction in sickness absence of over 30%.  NHS Lanarkshire have come from a position of having the worst absence levels of all mainland Boards to having the best in one year.

Nicola Sturgeon commented, "The EASY project in NHS Lanarkshire is an excellent example of a case management approach to sickness absence that underlines the Scottish Government's commitment to pro-active attendance management and Working Well programmes for NHS Scotland employees.
